For everyone who works while the world sleeps

Working nights shouldn't wreck your sleep.

3AM turns your shift schedule into a science-based daily plan — your sleep window, pre-shift nap, caffeine cutoff, light strategy — and then runs it for you with alarms that ring through Silent and Focus.

3AM's Today screen at 3am in the red-shifted night interface: Recovery Score, sleep debt, and tonight's plan
The only app designed to be opened at 3am.

Competitors built calculators. 3AM reads your roster, predicts your crashes, learns your body, and guards your life outside work.

What it does

A copilot, not a chart

You don't read a plan in 3AM — the app runs one for you, all day, every shift.

Today screen with a night shift plan: pre-shift nap, main meal, bright light, last caffeine, and sunglasses on the way home
Your shift, planned around sleep.

Plans that match your shifts

Nights, earlies, evenings, rotating rotas. A 2-minute chronotype quiz tunes every window to your body — owls and larks get different naps.

Week screen showing a rotating shift schedule with each day's sleep window and alarms
Nights, earlies, rotations — handled.

Alarms that run themselves

Wake, wind-down, nap, caffeine cutoff, leave-for-work. Every alarm programs itself from your schedule — and rings through Silent and Focus. Change a shift, everything re-times.

Replan sheet: pick what happened and 3AM rebuilds the rest of today
Held late? One tap fixes the rest of today.

When life breaks the plan

Held late? Barely slept? Woken mid-sleep? One tap replans the rest of your day and re-sets every alarm. Can't sleep at 3am? Panic mode walks you through it — in a red-shifted night interface designed to be opened in the dark.

You screen with detected patterns and the Sunday weekly report
It learns your body. Honestly.

It learns you

One-tap check-ins feed a pattern engine that runs entirely on your phone: “Nap taken: rest +14% over 9 days.” No pattern? It says so. Every Sunday: your week, checked.

Together screen showing shared awake hours with your person and a protected best window
Guard your life outside work.

Protect your people time

3AM finds the hours you and your person are actually both awake — and helps you protect them.

Private by architecture

No account. No login. No cloud copy.

Your sleep data never leaves your phone — every plan, check-in, and pattern is computed on-device. Every recommendation cites published shift-work science: NIOSH, CDC, and CBT-I sources, on the in-app Science screen.

Questions

Straight answers

Is 3AM free?

Yes — the free tier is free forever and fully usable: your full daily plan, wake and wind-down alarms, Recovery Score, check-ins, night mode, panic mode, and one Together person. Premium adds the full alarm suite, unlimited replans, every pattern, and the full weekly report — $49.99/year after a 7-day free trial, or $6.99/month.

Does my sleep data leave my phone?

No. There is no account and no login, and every plan, check-in, and pattern is computed on your iPhone. The only things the app ever sends are anonymous feature-usage counts (which you can switch off) and plain version-safety checks.

Which shift patterns does it support?

Nights, earlies, evenings, day shifts, and rotating rotas. A 2-minute chronotype quiz tunes every sleep window and nap to your body — owls and larks get different plans. Change a shift and every alarm re-times itself.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone on iOS 26 or later. Apple Health is optional — 3AM reads sleep only, on-device, and works fine from self-reported check-ins without it.
